Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte Skips Summit Meets With India, US Due To Migraine
Rodrigo Duterte has been in the news because of intemperate remarks about President Barack Obama.
Vientiane (Laos): Philippines officials say President Rodrigo Duterte has skipped summit meetings of Southeast Asian leaders with their US and Indian counterparts in Laos due to migraine.

Presidential spokesman Martin Andanar said today that the throbbing headache would have made it difficult for Duterte to concentrate amid the overwhelming barrage of summitry.

Andanar was unaware if Duterte's absence in the meetings had anything to do with a reported miscarriage suffered by his daughter, the mayor of their southern Philippine city of Davao.

Duterte has been in the news because of intemperate remarks he made about President Barack Obama ahead of the summit.
