Political commentary by Sarah Palin

Political commentary by Sarah Palin
New York: The one-time vice presidential hopeful has made good on predictions that she has a future in television. Sarah Palin has signed a multi-year deal with Fox News, America's top-rated cable news channel.

The former GOP Presidential candidate will provide political commentary and analysis on the Fox News network.

Already, opinions are divided. Says a viewer: "I will tune in. I value her perspective and opinion. She represents a constituency that needed a voice and we have one now."

So Fox made the right move? "Oh yes."

But right alongside, are the naysayers. "No, I do not think Fox made the right move. Sarah Palin is not very bright and now the whole world is going to see her stupidity," says one.

Sarah is not expected to take on Oprah. Palin's latest career move to television has only fueled speculation yet again that she plans to run for office in 2012.

The general thought -- that this is all part of a plan, just like Hillary Clinton.

Since her abrupt resignation as Governor of Alaska last summer, 17 months before her term in office was up, Palin's over a million fans have been following her daily musings on her Facebook page.

Regular appearances on a major network could further increase her support among conservatives and give her the opportunity to build and shape her public persona.

"I think she will have a unique perspective. I will tune in to listen to her," says one voice. But another says: "This is awful. Palin has very extremist views and now she will have a platform to express those views everyday to a large audience".

Palin catapulted to fame when Republican presidential candidate John McCain surprisingly chose her as his running mate for the 2008 election. Since then, she has stayed in the spotlight by coming out with a best-selling memoir, Going Rogue.

And as a political commentator on the country's leading cable news channel, America is going to be seeing a lot more of Sarah Palin.
