Tuxtla Gutierrez: A 6.0-magnitude earthquake struck off Mexico's Pacific coast close to the Guatemalan border today, but there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties.
The quake occurred at 6:22 am local time at a depth of 35 kilometres, and was located 28 kilometres south-southwest of Suchiate, Mexico, the US Geological Survey said.
"The quake was felt across most of the Soconusco region," civil protection official Luis Manuel Garcia told AFP. "We have no reports of damage for the moment."
