Paris: Qatari Prime Minister Abdallah ben Nasser Al-Thani will visit Paris next week to attend a security exhibition and meet French leaders, diplomats said today.
Thani will join French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve on Monday to launch Milipol, a showcase for equipment and knowhow about internal state security and terrorism, which alternates between Paris and Doha.
On Tuesday, he will lunch with his French counterpart, Manuel Valls.
France and gas-rich Qatar have close economic and military ties.
In May, Qatar signed a multi-billion-euro deal with French defence group Dassault to buy 24 Rafale fighter jets for 6.3 billion euros ($6.75 billion).
