London: A nurse in Britain has been sentenced to jail for five years after she poured boiling water onto an elderly man and hit him on the head with a kettle when he refused to give her money for drugs.
Davina Lily Norris, 29, became angry when the 61-year-old man refused her money, and attacked him at his home in Accrington, Lancashire, the Daily Mail reported.
She also threatened to kill him if he got blood on her white jeans, the Burnley Crown Court heard.
The victim suffered first degree burns, a head wound and permanent scarring.
Ms Norris pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
The defence solicitor said Ms Norris suffered from depression and had a history of self-harm.
