Roadside bomb kills 15 in southern Afghanistan

Kabul: Afghan authorities say a roadside bomb has hit a bus in southern Afghanistan, killing 15 people, including eight children.

The Ministry of Interior says the attack took place Saturday in the Arghandab district of Kandahar province. The ministry also said in a statement that one person was wounded in the blast.

The UN says that May was the deadliest month for Afghan civilians since 2007.
