Moscow: The huge gas supply contract agreed by China and Russia on Wednesday is worth $400 billion (290 billion euros) over 30 years, Russian television channels reported.
Quoting the CEO of Russian gas giant Gazprom Alexei Miller, NTV said the deal would see Russia supply 38 billion cubic metres of gas per year.
Miller was quoted as saying it was Gazprom's biggest-ever single contract. "Such a contract has never been signed with any other company," he said.
Miller refused to disclose the exact price for the gas, calling it a commercial secret.
He was quoted as saying the deal had been finalised in the early hours of Wednesday, after "all fundamental issues were resolved".
