In an exclusive interview to NDTV, ahead of his meeting with India's Foreign Minister SM krishna, Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that Hafiz Saeed is not under house arrest, his movements have simply been restricted and is under observation.
Pakistan foreign minister is on record that he would reveal the action to be taken again Saeed to his Indian counterpart on Sunday.
Qureshi told NDTV that he would find out SM Krishna's views on back channel talks before discussing it.
Foreign ministers to meet today
The foreign ministers of India and Pakistan SM Krishna and Shah Mehmood Qureshi, will meet on Sunday on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.
Foreign secretaries of the two countries Nirupama Rao and Salman Bashir have already met. On Saturday, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had said in a tough message that unless Pakistan stopped using terrorism as an instrument of state policy, no composite dialogue was possible.
The meeting between the foreign ministers will be the first high-level contact between the two countries since the Prime Ministers of India and Pakistan met at Egypt.
