Riyadh:
The Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah Al Sheikh, has urged Muslims to fight terrorism and oppose suicide attacks.
In a sermon delivered at Masjid Nimrah to mark the most important ritual of the Hajj pilgrimage, the Grand Mufti said the world was facing challenges from terrorism, and efforts were being made to destroy young Muslims.
He said even though the world knew more about Islam today than ever before, some people were trying to create misconceptions.
The grand Mufti told the largest Muslim gathering in the world that Islam was a religion of peace that opposed terrorism. He also urged young Muslims to remain cautious.
