London: Troubled British bank Barclays, mired in the forex and Libor rigging scandals, announced today that it has fired chief executive Antony Jenkins.
The bank's management has "concluded that new leadership is required" to continue an overhaul of the beleaguered group, while "a new set of skills were required for the period ahead", it said in a statement on the surprise decision.
