Several hurt in gas explosion in university in US

New York: Several people were injured in a gas explosion on Tuesday at a university in Nyack, about 50 kilometers (30 miles) north of New York, police and local media said.

A South Nyack police spokesman said the blast was under investigation and that he did not have an injury toll.

The blast left seven people injured, according to a South Nyack town hall source quoted by CBS and NBC.
