Covelo, California: A small earthquake rattled parts of Northern California.
The US Geological Survey reported a magnitude 3.5 quake struck Sunday at 1:17 p.m. PDT about six miles (10 kilometers) south of Covelo in Mendocino County. The epicenter was about 120 miles (193 kilometers) from west of Sacramento.
No damage was reported.
The quake was about 150 miles (240 kilometers) north of the epicenter of a magnitude 6.0 temblor that caused extensive damage in Napa and the surrounding area on Aug. 24.
