New York: FBI Director James Comey said on Wednesday that he is confident that North Korea was behind the cyber hack into Sony Pictures Entertainment because the group sometimes posted material from servers used exclusively by the North Korean government.
The hackers, who defined themselves as the group "Guardians of Peace" sometimes "got sloppy" and used servers only accessible by North Korea, Comey said at the International Conference on Cyber Security in New York.
Comey urged the intelligence community to declassify the information that shows the hackers used such servers.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) FBI will deploy more cyber security experts to work in the offices of its foreign partners in order to "shrink the world" the way the hackers have, Comey said.
