Seoul, South Korea: South Korean soldiers today fired warning shots at a suspected North Korean drone that crossed the tense border, the defence ministry said.

The drone flew close to a South Korean military observation post at Mount Dora, some 47 kilometres (29 miles) north of Seoul. Following the warning shots, however, it immediately returned across the border into North Korea, a ministry spokesman said.
