Potiskum, Nigeria:
Witnesses say a suicide bomber detonated explosives on the edge of a procession by the moderate Muslim Brotherhood in the northeastern state capital of Potiskum, killing himself and two civilians.
Mohammed Adamu, a tailor who was parading through the streets, said on Monday that Muslim Brotherhood members arrested two suspects and refused to hand them over to the military. He said the soldiers then fired several shots into the air and one bullet killed a Muslim Brotherhood member.
Adamu said several people were injured including a woman in the procession who carried a baby on her back.
It is the first attack in months in Yobe state by suspected members of the Islamic extremist Boko Haram group that has been seizing towns and villages in neighboring Borno and Adamawa states.
