London: London police say they're investigating a suspicious fire at an Islamic boarding school, an incident which comes at a time of increased anti-Muslim attacks in Britain.
Police say the blaze broke out Saturday night at the Darul Uloom Islamic School in Chislehurst, an affluent suburban area on London's southeastern outskirts.
Authorities reported minor damage to the building. Around 130 people were inside the school at the time of the blaze and police said two people were treated for smoke inhalation. No one was hospitalised.
The Islamic School is about six miles (10 kilometers) from Woolwich, where an off-duty British soldier was butchered to death last month, allegedly by two Islamic extremists. The killing inflamed tensions in the UK, which has seen a spike in anti-Muslim attacks since then.
