Los Angeles:
Authorities say four adults and three children were injured when a car crashed into a Los Angeles pizza shop, including a 5-year-old boy who has serious head trauma.
City fire spokesman Brian Humphrey says seven people ranging in ages from 1 month to 59 years were taken to hospitals after the crash shortly before 6 p.m. Monday, but all but the 5-year-old boy had only minor injuries.
Television news footage showed the white compact SUV halfway inside the Little Caesars in Pacoima surrounded by glass.
Humphrey says three people appeared to have been hit directly by the SUV, the other three hit with flying glass and debris.
Humphrey says paramedics examined three others who declined help.
The cause of the crash and the identity of the driver were not immediately clear.
