Los Angeles:

An unidentified person, who made a call to emergency number from Michael Jackson's home, told the operator the singer wasn't breathing or responding to efforts to revive him, according to details of the phone call released on Friday.

"I need an ambulance," the person told the 911 operator while making the emergency call.

He said Jackson was on a bed and the singer's personal doctor was with him at the time, a television channel reported, based on recording of the phone call released by the Los Angeles Fire Department on Friday.

Jackson, 50, christened 'Wacko Jacko' for his bizarre lifestyle, sex scandals and numerous plastic surgeries, died after collapsing at his Bel Air mansion in Los Angeles.

Amid growing speculation over the cause of his death, Jackson's doctor reportedly went missing. Police said a car belonging to the doctor was towed from Jackson's home. However, police did not release the doctor's name.

Meanwhile, authorities said the cause of Jackson's death will not be determined officially for weeks.

Ed Winter, Assistant Chief of the Los Angeles coroner's Office, said the results of toxicology tests are expected in six to eight weeks and that the "cause of death will be determined when all results come in".
