An image of US-based terrorist Harpreet Singh in custody of the FBI was released after he was arrested by the Immigration Department.

An image of US-based terrorist Harpreet Singh, alias Happy Passia, was released after he was arrested and sent to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody.

He allegedly entered the US illegally and has been using burner phones to evade arrest.

In India, Singh is among the most wanted and carries a reward of Rs 5 lakh on his head. He is said to be responsible for 14 terror attacks over the last six months in Punjab. A series of blasts targeting police establishments in Amritsar since November 2024 had made the security agencies begin a hunt for him. In most cases, he claimed responsibility for the attacks on social media.

Sources in security forces said Singh carried out the terror attacks in collaboration with Pakistan intelligence agency ISI and Babbar Khalsa International.

Among his latest attacks was on a YouTuber's house and on BJP leader Manoranjan Kalia's residence, both situated in Jalandhar.
