Galax, Virginia: Three people were killed and 25 injured after 95 vehicles piled up on a foggy US highway.
Police say the vehicles were caught in 17 separate crashes along the mountainous road near the Virginia-North Carolina border.
Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corrine Geller says the injuries ranged from serious to minor.
Geller says message boards along the interstate warned drivers of severe fog. She says the crashes happened mostly because drivers were going too fast.
