Three soldiers, one Ugandan from the African Union Force and two Somalis, died in an attack targeting Somalia's new president Hassan Sheikh Mohamud on Wednesday, a police officer said.
Initial reports indicated three suicide bombers were also killed, the officer said, and an AFP reporter saw pieces of flesh scattered outside the gates of the Mogadishu hotel where the bomb blasts took place.
