Tiger offered wife $80 million to make her stay

Tiger offered wife $80 million to make her stay
Los Angeles: Tiger Woods is willing to pay dearly to hold onto his marriage and keep his private messages secret, according to celebrity website reports still swirling around the world's top golfer.

A week after the car accident in front of his Florida mansion, Woods has apologised for "transgressions" and "personal sins" and seen the private life he so zealously guarded ripped open for the world to see.

Reports say Woods offered his wife 5 million dollars up front to keep her from walking out and taking their two young kids with her. If Nordegren, a former Swedish model, can put up with being Mrs Tiger Woods for at least 7 years more, then she gets a whopping 80 million dollars.

The worrying fact for Tiger though is that many of his sponsors are reportedly thinking of dropping him as their brand ambassador following his admission to the 'transgressions'.

"I am dealing with my behaviour and personal failings behind closed doors with my family," Woods said in a statement earlier this week.

Entertainment news website TMZ.com reported on Friday that Rachel Uchitel, one of Woods's alleged mistresses, did not take money from Woods to call off her scheduled news conference on Thursday.

RadarOnline had reported that Uchitel was offered US $one million by the golf star to keep his personal correspondence with her private.
