Canadian authorities said Friday they're on "high alert" with all eyes on the US border as the country braces for a possible influx of migrants from the United States. The US has charged an Iranian man with an alleged plot by Iran's elite Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) to kill President-elect Donald Trump. Farhad Shakeri has been termed by the Justice Department as an "Iranian asset" who was tasked by the Iranian regime on October 7 to plot Trump's assassination. Shakeri, 51, allegedly told law enforcement that he did not intend to propose a plan to kill Trump within the timeframe set by the IRGC, according to a statement.
