Ankara, Turkey:
Turkish Airlines says it has resumed its flights to the northern Iraqi city of Erbil, a day after suspending them for security reasons following US airstrikes against Islamic militants towing artillery outside the Kurdish regional capital.
The airline said Saturday it was changing its flight times from Istanbul and Antalya to Erbil, with the flights taking off several hours later than before. It urged passengers to contact the airport before traveling to check the status of their flights.
