Kabul: Afghan security forces Sunday shot dead two suspected suicide bombers in a car near a construction site in Kabul's diplomatic enclave, a police official and an AFP photographer said.
The men were killed in their car in Wazir Akbar Khan, where most foreign embassies are located, a police official said, asking not to be identified by name because he was not authorised to speak to the media.
An AFP photographer at the scene said an abandoned SUV with two men who appeared dead could be seen on the road, which had been sealed off by security forces.
