Plenty of assurances but little seem to have changed on ground in Australia as attacks on Indians continue unabated Down Under.
Two Indians have been attacked in separate incidents in Melbourne. In one case, a gang of 30 men armed with baseball bats beat Indian students at a train station. An eyewitness told NDTV that one student was seriously injured. The eyewitness, who barely escaped the group assault, refused to be identified, as he was scared.
Victoria police have admitted to four Indians being attacked everyday and a 1,447 people have been victims of crimes last year.
