Two more Secret Service agents resign over US sex scandal

Washington: Two more Secret Service agents have resigned over the Colombia sex scandal and one more will have his security clearance permanently revoked, the elite presidential protection outfit said on Tuesday.

"Two other employees have been cleared of serious misconduct," Assistant Secret Service Director Paul Morrissey said in a written statement.

Six Secret Service agents had already lost their jobs over the scandal involving prostitutes who they allegedly invited back to their hotel in Cartagena, Colombia during a trip to prepare security for Obama's visit to the Summit of the America's 10 days ago.

The White House said on Monday that an internal probe had established that no White House civilian staff were involved in the sleazy goings on in the Caribbean resort.

Investigations by the Pentagon and the Secret Service are still taking place.
