Two New York City police officers responding to a robbery have been shot in the Bronx.
Authorities say the officers were taken to the hospital with injuries believed to be non-life threatening. It happened shortly after 10:30 p.m. Monday on East 184th Street in the Tremont section of the borough.
The shooting comes just more than two weeks after two officers were gunned down in their patrol car in Brooklyn by a man who vowed online to kill "pigs." The man later committed suicide.
The second officer was buried on Sunday.
Preliminary investigations are continuing into Monday's shooting.
