Beijing:
A two-year-old boy who was left unattended in a school bus for more than half a day in central China's Hubei Province died yesterday, local authorities said.
Police have detained two suspects, surnamed Wang and Hu, for negligence of duty and causing the death of the boy, Xinhua reported.
Wang was the school bus driver for Xiwangzhixing Kindergarten in Huayuan Street of Shizi Township, while Hu was in charge of taking care of all the infants in the bus.
According to an initial investigation, the bus was obstructed by some construction material at the entrance of the street of the kindergarten Monday morning, so the children got off the bus and Hu walked them to the kindergarten.
The driver Wang then parked the bus at a nearby internet cafe, took his breakfast and went home.
Wang found the boy in a coma on the bus at around 3:30 pm in the afternoon when he was getting ready to pick up the children at the kindergarten.
The boy was taken to the hospital and where he died later.
