Ukraine Leader Says Talks With Vladimir Putin 'Deciding Fate of World and Europe'

Minsk: Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said Tuesday that he saw talks in Minsk with Russian President Vladimir Putin and senior EU officials as playing a crucial role in deciding the future of Europe.

"In Minsk at this meeting the fate of the world and Europe is being decided. That is how I see it," Poroshenko said after shaking hands with Putin at the start of talks aimed at resolving the raging conflict in eastern Ukraine.
