Munich:
German Chancellor Angela Merkel said today the latest Franco-German bid to end the Ukraine crisis with Russia was uncertain but worth trying given the ongoing bloodshed.
"It is uncertain whether it will lead to success, but from my point of view and that of the French President (Francois Holland) it is definitely worth trying," she said.
"I believe we owe that much to those who are affected in Ukraine," she told the Munich Security Conference a day after she and Hollande held crisis talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.
