Washington:
The US Central Command would conduct a "broad and through" investigation into a NATO airstrike on Af-Pak border in which 24 Pakistani soldiers were killed, a Pentagon official said on Monday.
The investigation would include full range of factors. It would be broad and through, Pentagon Press Secretary George Little told reporters during a press conference.
US Defence Secretary Leon Panetta continues to monitor the situation and is committed to military to military relationship with Pakistan, Mr Little said.
Pannetta has not spoken to anyone in Pakistan so far, he added.
Asserting that war efforts in the region would continue, Mr Little said that the relationship with Pakistan is complicated and tough, but added that country's leadership have been told that a strong US-Pak ties are in interest of both the countries.
