Protests have taken place in Pak-occupied Gilgit-Baltistan over human rights violations.
Washington:
The US on Monday expressed concern about the human rights situation in Gilgit-Baltistan and asked all parties in Pakistan to resolve the issues through a valid political process.
"We do have concerns about the human rights situation there, and have reported that for several years in our Human Rights Report," a State Department Spokesperson told news agency PTI when asked about the allegations of large scale human rights violation in Gilgit-Baltistan, which has been illegally occupied by Pakistan.
"However, we have consistently urged all parties in Pakistan to work out their differences peaceably and through a valid political process," the spokesperson said.
