NEW YORK: The US State Department asked a federal judge on Friday for a month-long extension to finish publicly releasing thousands of emails sent by Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton while she was secretary of state.
The department said in a court filing that it needed until Febuary 29, 2016, to allow it more time to consult with other departments over redacting sensitive information from the emails, which Clinton sent and received on a private server in her home between 2009 and 2013.
