A huge bomb exploded at the entrance to a United Nations compound in Somalia's northern town of Garowe Monday, security officials and witnesses said.
"There was a heavy explosion at the UN compound," said security official Ahmed Duale. There were conflicting reports as to whether it was suicide car bomb, or if the bomb had been attached to a UN bus transporting staff. Witness Ali Hassan said there were casualties but could not give further details.
