New Delhi:
Pop queen Beyonce returns to Instagram. This time, she's back to introduce her twins, daughter Rumi Carter and son Sir Carter, who turned a month-old today. "Sir Carter and Rumi one month today," she captioned the photograph. Beyonce and rapper Jay Z married in 2008 and are also parents to five-year-old daughter Blue Ivy. In the photo, Beyonce has the twins cradled in her arms and has a throne of flowers as the background. Beyonce is known for redefining fashion, which she did, yet again, opting for a purple ruffled ensemble and a sky blue cape. It took only an hour for Beyonce's photograph to go crazy viral. Currently, it stands at over a million 'likes' with more than 1,148,882 thumbs ups. Neither Beyonce or Jay Z made any official announcement about the birth of twins last month but there was confirmation in the form of a tweet from the Queen-Bey's father. "They're here! #beyonce #twins #jayz #happybirthday," Mathew Knowles had tweeted on June 18.
Meanwhile, the celebrity couple have appealed to US Patent and Trademark Office to copyright the names of their twins, to prevent unapproved usage, reported news agency PTI.
Before the twins were born, Beyonce also used to send the Internet into a tizzy whenever she shared glimpses of her pregnancy photoshoots. Blue Ivy was her favourite photo-buddy and the results were simply adorable - there's proof on her Instagram.
In was in February that Beyonce announced she's pregnant with twins. "We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes," she wrote in an Instagram post.
After she announced the baby news, Beyonce made her first public appearance at the Grammys this year. Beyonce delivered a brilliant performance at the award show and also won two Grammys - Best Music Video for Formation and the Best Urban Contemporary Album for Lemonade. Beyonce has also been voted as the most beautiful woman by an online poll conducted by website Buzznet.
