'We Don't Want To Die,' Said Stewardess, Upsetting Passengers

While announcing why a flight had been delayed by nearly eight hours, a crew member offered this information: "The Captain cannot take off when we have ice on the wings - we don't want to die."

Oops.

The video of the announcement by the stewardess of budget airline Ryan Air has gone viral - it was filmed by a passenger and uploaded onto Facebook.

The Ryanair flight was headed from Glasgow to Dublin.

"[We] will be speaking to the crewmember involved and apologize for the regrettable comment she made in the heat of the moment," Ryanair said in a statement.

The passenger who filmed the announcement was quoted as saying that the message, shared over the intercom, "fueled the already anxious and angry passengers."
