Apple has sent out invitations for its highly anticipated "Scary Fast" event, slated for the end of this month. While Apple has remained tight-lipped about the event's specifics, it's widely expected to be a significant Mac product launch, possibly revealing new iMacs and MacBooks.
Where and How to Watch:
This event, scheduled for October 30 at 5 pm PT (5:30 am on October 31 IST), will be live-streamed on Apple's official website.
For those excited to tune in, the live stream will also be available on Apple's official YouTube channel and the Apple TV app. To make sure you don't miss out, viewers can use the "Notify Me" feature on the YouTube page, which will send a reminder just before the event starts.
Unlike the last few Apple events, which were held in person, the upcoming event will be an online affair. This digital format allows Apple to reach a global audience directly through its website and other online platforms.
In June, Apple launched a bigger MacBook Air with the new M2 chip, priced at Rs 1,34,900. This came after they upgraded the 13-inch MacBook Air with the same processor. Apple has yet to update its 2021 24-inch iMac. According to a previous report from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman newsletter, Apple is planning to reveal a refreshed 24-inch iMac at an upcoming event. Mr Gurman also mentioned that a larger Pro version of the iMac is expected to be released in late 2024 or 2025.
In the last Apple event in September, the company introduced the iPhone 15 lineup. The Pro models had the A17 Bionic chip, while the standard models had the A16 and they added USB-C charging. They also had larger screens and thinner bezels. Exciting features were introduced, like the "Dynamic Island" for iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. The Pro models got a sleek titanium finish and a better zoom lens. They replaced the Mute switch with an Action button. Apple also launched the Apple Watch Series 9 and an updated Apple Watch Ultra. The event also revealed the release schedule for iOS 17 and other system updates.
