London: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge refused 200 pounds compensation each from British Airways after their in-flight entertainment failed on their journey back from the US, a media report said on Thursday.
The airline offered William and Kate and other passengers in First and Business class either duty free vouchers or the equivalent in air miles as they were unable to watch movies.
But a royal source said that the newly-weds, who slept through most of the 10-hour flight from Los Angeles last week, politely declined the offer, express.co.uk reported.
The couple was returning First Class after their triumphant 11-day tour of Canada and California.
A British Airways spokeswoman said: "Unfortunately, a fault with some parts in the entertainment system could not be fixed. We offered customers either a voucher or frequent flyer miles to say sorry."
